European Adventure Part 4

After a wonderful time in Austria, we went to the Salzburg train station and headed to Prague. It took us a full day of train travel with a train change in Vienna but we made it to Prague that evening. We decided to walk from the train station to our hotel using my Garmin GPS as a tour guide to get us there.

We stayed at the Marriott which was a fantastic hotel with a great location. The next morning, we did a Prague city sights tour which took us around the city and showed us a lot of the popular places to see which gave us a good idea what we wanted to come back to.

Prague is FULL of tourists. It is a super cool city, but geez there are a lot of travelers. Prague has the BEST goulash. It’s like super meaty beef stew with potato dumplings. I actually ate goulash every day we were there, that’s how much I love it J

Later in the week, we went on a dinner cruise on the river and got some amazing views of Prague castle.
We visited Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and other famous towers and monuments around the city later in the week. My favorite thing in Prague was the St. Vitrus Cathedral located in Prague Castle. It’s a SUPER gorgeous church. We spend the day wondering around Prague castle with our audioguides – kind of dorky, but they are great, plus you get to skip the lines with them.

After 10 days and 4 countries, we definitely all went home tired. But, it was an awesome trip and it reinforced how much I love Europe. Can’t wait to go back this Christmas with the Voglers!

  1. Gorgeous Cari! It's totally bringing me back to our days in France... and things like volleyball on the beach, drunken dancing linked by pinky fingers, crepes, and names like Antoine and Jean Francois!

Miss you! Hope your job is going super well and that you love it and love life!

  2. Wow, why can't we have building like that around here? It gives me the chills that they were able to build things like that back in the day before modern machinery. Amazing!
